Human volunteers are stipulated in the Charter of rights and obligations established by the National Center for Volunteering in Paris, France. These include: equal treatment, attention to personal preferences, assessment of life experience and professional studies in the context of delegation of tasks, participation in training sessions in the work performed, ensuring good working conditions, the right to be heard and to be involved in planning, unhampered expression of opinions and suggestions.

Appreciated qualities of a volunteer are: creativity, voluntary work, will, desire to help others, interest in various fields, openness, independence and knowledge.
